Oral Courses
One Day preparation courses for Oral Examinations in Irish and French
Sunday, 31st March - French.

Irish
The Oral examination now accounts for 25% of the total marks in Irish and modern
languages. These one day intensive courses will be given by experienced Oral
Examiners. They will pinpoint the main pitfalls and develop stratagies for
maximising your marks culminating in an individual mock interview with feedback.
ORAL FRENCH (H) & (L)
Saturday, 31st March, 2012.
10.00 am - 4.30 pm
- discussion of marking system
- planning conversation,picture or project stimulus
- discussion on structures (tenses, pronouns, negatives etc.)
- topical subjects
- groups of circa 10 - 12 to practice questions and answers;
- pinpoint important points and correct mistakes and weaknesses
- individual mock interviews with feedback
- final group session
- detailed handouts

- what to do on the day
- strategies for maximising your marks
- thorough revision of common topics

- individual mock interviews with feedback

- final group session - further handouts
